Growing up in Northeast Ohio, I’ve always believed in turning up the volume on hard work. Like many determined professionals, I spent years building my career, but along the way I began to feel like something was missing—and eventually faced some unexpected medical challenges that forced me to slow down.

During that time, I rediscovered a simple joy that brought the spark back: popcorn. Armed with a nostalgic cart popper, I started experimenting with flavors, mixing, popping, and creating like I was back in a garage band rehearsal—testing new combinations until something truly rocked.

With encouragement from my mother, my three daughters, and the unwavering support of my better half, Sherry, I made the life-changing decision to turn this passion into a business., that small spark turned into something much bigger. What started as a passion project quickly grew into a bold idea: to create a popcorn experience that’s fun, flavorful, and full of rock-and-roll spirit.

Today, that idea lives on through every batch we pop—bringing big flavor, creative combinations, and a little bit of rock energy to every bag.

In July 2022, we took the first big step toward bringing our vision to life by investing in the equipment needed to start the business. After exploring several options for production space, we decided to stay local and were fortunate to find a fully equipped kitchen at a nearby church in Parma.

By October 2022, Joey’s Rockin Poppin Popcorn officially made its debut.

The name of the business is a tribute to my lifelong love of music and the unmistakable rock-and-roll spirit of Northeast Ohio. Our logo proudly features the Cleveland skyline built from stacked speakers—a creative nod to the city’s legendary connection to rock ‘n’ roll.

And just like the music that inspired it, our slogan NEVER STOP POPPIN!® captures the high energy, bold flavor, and unstoppable spirit that fuels everything we do.

After celebrating our first year in our Broadview Heights location, we’re excited to continue building on that momentum as we prepare to launch online ordering, anticipated in mid-2026.

The enthusiastic response to our unique Rock City Creations—both at events and in our store—has been incredibly rewarding. Watching customers discover new favorite flavors and share in the fun has only strengthened our belief in the future of Joey’s Rockin Poppin Popcorn.

As we grow, we look forward to reaching even more popcorn lovers and continuing to share our passion, creativity, and bold, rock-inspired flavors with the community and beyond.
